A few years back, when Xenoten had risen as a haven for the Xenosaga fans following the collapse of the excellent Labyrinthos.org, I began writing a series of retrospective essays on the series and publishing them within the forum.

While the initial ones were intended to critique the series, particularly when it came to its narrative and characterization, later entries focused on examining the series' evolution as an on-going text, bringing to light the numerous discrepancies, retcons and alterations that occurred throughout the series as a result of storytelling, staff changes and development issues that arose behind-the-scenes.

With the unforeseen demise of Xenoten, my essays have disappeared from the web and I am now looking for a way to get them back online. I am thinking of possibly posting them here or using this space to link to an external blog. We'll see how things go.
